Experienced Outdoor Designer

I have over 15 years of design experience in the outdoor industry working at Mountain Hardwear, Eddie Bauer, Solstice, Columbia Sportswear and now on a freelance basis providing design services through Tramp Workshop.  Though my speciality has been men's and women's technical outerwear for outdoor adventure, alpine climbing and snowsports, I have always taken any opportunity available to design outside that box with a variety of experiences designing casual lifestyles pieces, workwear, sleeping bags, watersports apparel and anything having to do with bikes.

Avid Outdoor Enthusiast

I've always loved the outdoors.  I find it simultaneously peaceful, yet full of adventure.   Whether it's backpacking, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, running, or doing anything by bike, the outdoors are at the source of my life passions.  To be able to combine the inspiration that is found in these outdoor pursuits with my love of design is truly rewarding.

Bike touring continues to be the most epic of my outdoor passions.  I have completed several self-supported bike/bikepacking tours, including:

• TransAmerica: New York City to Portland (5,001 miles)

• Susitna 100: Alaska Snowbike Race (completed in 32 miserable hours)

• Pacific Coast: Seattle to Mexico (1,758 miles)

• Great Divide Mountain Bike Route: Banff to Mexico (2,891 miles)

• GB Divide: Land's End, England to John o' Groats, Scotland (1,233 miles) 

• Also completed shorter bike tours in New Zealand, Germany/Switzerland/Italy/France, Vietnam, and Hawaii
